How to Clean a Glass Hand Pipe in 4 Easy Steps

Step 1: The Bag and Soak

Place your glass hand pipe inside the Ziploc bag. Pour in a generous handful of your coarse salt, making sure some of it gets directly inside the bowl piece and the mouthpiece. Next, pour in enough isopropyl alcohol to completely submerge the pipe.

Step 2: The Shake

Seal the bag tightly (double-check the seal so you don't make a mess). Hold the pipe securely through the plastic and vigorously shake the bag for 1 to 2 minutes. The alcohol will rapidly break down the sticky resin, and the coarse salt will act like hundreds of tiny scrubbing brushes against the inside of the glass.

Step 4: The Warm Water Rinse

This is the most important final step. Thoroughly rinse your pipe under warm tap water for at least a full minute. You need to wash away every single grain of salt and all the residual alcohol.
